Lab #35 - Igneous Composition
The lab has 2 pages. The first page looks like the Igneous Rock chart from p 6 of the ESRT. It also includes the densities of the 7 minerals found on the bottom of the chart.

Pause the tape at 15:23 so the students can try to calculate Rock Sample B (Granite) on their own. You can play the end of the video after they have done those calculations.
It will take you through calculating the Density of Rock Sample A (Granite). Pause the video when it asks and try to calculate the correct %'s and the density for Rock Sample B (Granite).
Complete the activity by calculating the percents and the density for the remaining samples (C - G). These sample become more mafic so the calculated densities should increase.
Homework - Complete Regents Review Packet #3 for Monday 4/23.
